Make a tax-deductible donation

SAWA-Australia offers tax-deductible membership subscriptions and donations through its partnership with Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA, the overseas aid organization of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU). Subscriptions and donations have to be paid through APHEDA's Afghanistan account, and receipts for tax purposes are issued by APHEDA on SAWA-Australia's behalf and are allocated to the support of the Vocational Training Centre.
Annual subscription is $20, $10 concession, $5 for students, $100 for supporting organisations. All members are entitled to receive the quarterly SAWAN newsletter by the method of their choice (post or email). To receive your copy when subscribing through APHEDA you have to inform SAWA-Australia of your payment by email or letter.

APHEDA currently does not have an online donation option for donations to SAWA.

Ask your bank to transfer your donation (one-off or ongoing) from your bank account to:

NOTE: Banks cannot be relied to transmit your donor details to APHEDA. To make sure that your payment goes to the Vocational Training Centre it is essential to send APHEDA an email (office@apheda.org.au) or letter (APHEDA, Level 3, 377-383 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000) with the details (date and amount) of your donation and specify Afghanistan as the reason for the donation. If you don't do that your payment may go into the general APHEDA account inadvertently. To assist us with our book-keeping please send the information also to SAWA-Australia (SA).

DONATE BY MAIL

Cheques, made out to Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA, should be sent to APHEDA, Level 3, 377-383 Sussex Street, Sydney NSW 2000 and accompanied by a note that the donation is for the Vocational Training Centre in Afghanistan. To assist us with our book-keeping please inform SAWA-Australia (SA) about your donation as well.
