Film night fundraiser: My Tehran for Sale, a movie by Granaz Moussavi, one of Iran's most celebrated contemporary female poets. Meet Granaz Moussavi for questions and answers after the movie. Monday 23 November 6.45 pm, Trak Cinemas, 375 Greenhill Road Toorak Gardens.

Afghan afternoon in support of SAWA, Wednesday 4 November 11 am - 2 pm, University of South Australia Magill Campus, outside campus central. Afghan music, Middle Eastern food, handicrafts and SAWA products for sale, information table, meet SAWA members; organized by the Sohbet Society for Human Rights.

First Adelaide Picnic, Sunday 27 September from 12pm, Bonython Park, Totem Pole (behind Old Adelaide Goal). Come along and bring some food, drink, chair or blanket. In case of wet weather Wheatsheaf Hotel, 39 George Street, Thebarton.

SAWA at the International Day of Peace Fair, Sunday 20 September 1-5pm, Estonian Hall, 200 Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide with a table with handicraft, calendars, greeting cards etc.

WILPF fundraising event for SAWA, Saturday 12 September 2pm, Hutt Street Library (235 Hutt Street). WILPF will show the documentary "Widows of Kabul 2008 " to WILPF members and anyone else who would like to come along.

"Mad May Day" Chinese banquet of Soroptimist International of Torrens Monday 4 May 2009
7 pm for 7.30 pm start, Ming's Palace, 157- 159 Gouger Street.
Proceeds go to the Vocational Training Centre supported by SAWA, to the Riverland Domestic Violence Unit and to the Hajare school in Nepal.
