Inaugural meeting to form the local group, Wednesday 29 July 2009 7pm.

International Women's Day Afghan Women's poetry reading at Voicebox, Tropicana Cafe, 177 High Street, Fremantle, Thursday 5 March 2010.

Movie Fundraiser 'The Hedgehog', Sunday 25 July 2010. Tickets $20, includes a Lucky Door Prize drawn 2.50pm. (You must be there to claim the prize!)

The Fundraiser attracted 108 SAWA supporters. SAWA-WA raised almost $2000, half from selling tickets, two-thirds of the remainder from donations and the rest from a raffle held on the day. Many thanks to SAWA workers who made the day a success: Sarah Leighton, Flora Smith, Myrna Tonkinson, Priscilla Horne, Pauline Masters, Elio Novello - and to all the friends and supporters of SAWA who purchased tickets or made a donation - or in some cases both!
